No need to worry about a background when the character looks so amazing! Incredible details and rendering of her, that is very cleverly done! Excellent work all around!

Cool concept. I like the samuraish feel to this. her jacket almost looks like old samurai armour.

I love everything about this character. The pose, hidden face, the way you portrayed her, her scars and expression.
Fantastic work. Considering background, in this case, I don't think it's too important, because the character is so outstanding that, at least, I don't notice the background. But if you want to be perfectionist, maybe try to add shades to the background like, darker in the lover part behind the girl, like a shadow.
